Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of the FlightDesk website and the features available to registered users.

1. Nature of the service

FlightDesk is an independent project providing informational, educational and operational tools to support the preparation and management of VFR flight activities.

The platform is not an aviation body, authority, flight school, ATS operator or official AIS service, nor does it represent an aeroclub unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Aeronautical use and pilot responsibility

Information provided by FlightDesk does not replace a pre-flight briefing, official publications, the AIP, official NOTAMs, aeronautical charts, ATS instructions, aircraft manuals, the AFM/POH, approved checklists or the judgement of the pilot in command.

The pilot in command retains full responsibility at all times for the preparation, conduct and safety of the flight.

Before every operation, users must verify information using official, current sources appropriate to the intended flight.

Weather data, NOTAMs and aerodrome information

Data may originate from external services and may be affected by delays, outages, transmission errors, interpretation errors or update failures. A displayed issue time does not guarantee that the information remains valid for the intended operation.

Calculations and performance

Fuel, mass and balance, density altitude, runway wind component, take-off and landing performance calculations and similar results are support tools. They must be checked against approved data for the specific aircraft, actual conditions and applicable procedures.

3. Registration and accounts

Registration immediately creates a basic personal account. Certain functions, data profiles or tools reserved for specific aeroclubs require separate verification and activation by administrators. Registration does not automatically establish aeroclub membership or grant access to related advanced functions.

Users agree to:

  • provide accurate and current information;
  • not share credentials, sessions or access tools;
  • protect passwords, passkeys and authenticated devices;
  • promptly report suspicious or unauthorized access;
  • use the service in accordance with the law and these terms.

Activity performed through an account is attributed to its user unless unauthorized access is promptly reported and demonstrated.

4. Content and intellectual property

The structure, design, code, original text, proprietary quizzes, explanations, tools and materials produced for FlightDesk are protected by applicable law and remain the property of their respective owners.

Without written permission, users may not:

  • copy or redistribute databases, quizzes or documents;
  • systematically extract content using scripts or scraping;
  • republish restricted or account-only materials;
  • remove source, copyright or attribution notices;
  • use substantial copies of the service to create competing products.

Third-party trademarks, documents, charts, manuals and materials remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their own terms.

5. User-provided content

Users retain ownership of data and content uploaded to or entered in personal functions, subject to applicable law and third-party rights.

Users warrant that they are entitled to use uploaded materials and agree not to submit unlawful, offensive, confidential or dangerous content, or content that infringes the rights of others.

6. Service availability and limitations

FlightDesk is provided as is and may be modified, updated, suspended or temporarily unavailable for maintenance, security, technical issues or development decisions.

The service does not guarantee the complete absence of errors, interruptions, incompatibilities or data loss. Users must retain independent copies of important data and documents required for flight operations.

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for operational decisions based solely on data displayed by the platform, or for loss arising from misuse, failure to verify information or service unavailability.

7. Account suspension or closure

An account may be suspended or closed in the event of:

  • a breach of these terms;
  • abusive or automated use, or use intended to extract content;
  • attempted unauthorized access or compromise of security;
  • credential sharing;
  • unlawful conduct or conduct harmful to the service or other users;
  • extended inactivity where necessary for system management.

8. Third-party links and services

The platform may integrate data, links or services operated by third parties. FlightDesk does not continuously control those services and is not responsible for their terms, availability, accuracy or data processing practices.

9. Privacy

Personal data processing is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of the website’s terms of use.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated to reflect legal, technical or functional changes. The current version and its effective date will be published on this page.
